Minimalist cosmetics brand finds favor with Sarah Jessica Parker, also appreciated by our beauty team
Sarah Jessica Parker, known for her minimalist and understated approach to makeup, graced the red carpet at the New York premiere of And Just Like That Season 3 with a radiant glow, thanks to the minimalist makeup brand Merit Beauty.
Makeup artist Elaine Offers Woulard shared a full breakdown on Instagram ahead of the AJLT premiere, revealing that Parker wore a full face of Merit products.
The foundation of choice was the Minimalist Complexion Stick, a hybrid foundation-concealer that serves both purposes seamlessly. With a slimline shape for easy application to hard-to-reach areas, it blends effortlessly and doesn't settle into fine lines. The RRP for the Minimalist Complexion Stick is $30/£26.
For a natural, just-pinched flush on the cheeks, the Flush Balm was used. This creamy blush comes in 13 versatile shades, with the Stockholm shade, a pretty pink hue, being selected for the event. The Flush Balm has a semi-matte finish and stays on for hours. The RRP for the Flush Balm is $38/£34.
To add warmth, the Bronzer Balm in Leo was swiped on. This bronzing balm is a sheer formula, perfect for subtly enhancing cheekbones and adding sun-kissed warmth.
To dial up the glow, the Day Glow Highlighting Balm in Bounce, a soft rose gold, was used. This product is praised for mimicking a natural flush and lifting complexion.
Sarah Jessica Parker's signature look has come to define her appearances both on and off screen. Her preference for creamy textures, fresh skin, and a hint of highlighter in all the right places was evident at the premiere.
In addition to the Merit products, Parker also used other products such as Koh Gen Do Moisture Foundation for a natural, hydrating base, Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate for subtle definition, and a mix of Stila Convertible Color, Merit Flush Balm Cream Blush, and Milk Makeup Lip + Cheek Cream Blush Stick to create a fresh, glowy flush on cheeks and lips.
This combination emphasizes a soft, elegant finish—glowing skin with natural lash enhancement and a rosy yet understated color palette, aligning perfectly with Parker's signature minimalist style on and off screen.
