Von Miller, the eight-time Pro Bowl linebacker and two-time Super Bowl champion, has agreed to a one-year contract with the Washington Commanders, according to multiple reports. The terms of the deal are still being finalized, but it is expected to bolster the Commanders' pass rush.

Miller, 36, is entering his 16th NFL season. He spent the first nine seasons of his career with the Denver Broncos, where he won his first Super Bowl in 2016 and was named the game's MVP. He was traded to the Los Angeles Rams during the middle of the 2021 season and went on to win his second Super Bowl title with the team in 2022.

The announcement was made on Miller's Instagram page late Wednesday night, with the caption reading, "DC... What's good??" The signing comes as part of the Commanders' active offseason, which also includes the acquisition of star left tackle Laremy Tunsil and wide receiver Deebo Samuel to support rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.

The move follows the departure of Dante Fowler Jr., who left for the Dallas Cowboys. Miller's signing will bring veteran depth to the Commanders' roster. NFL Network's Brian Baldinger believes Miller will likely sign with the Commanders either before or during training camp, which begins next week with veterans reporting on July 22 at the OrthoVirginia Training Center at Commanders Park in Ashburn, Va.

Miller finished last season with six sacks and has 129.5 sacks over the course of his career. According to Baldinger, three teams were "very interested" in Miller. This will be the fourth team Miller plays for during his career.
