Military Vehicles: Two Drone Crashes Reported in Krasnodar Region

On August 8, 2025, Russian air defense forces were active in several regions, intercepting and destroying Ukrainian drones. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that 30 UAVs were shot down between 0:20 and 5:40 Moscow time, with incidents taking place in the Rostov, Crimea, Saratov, Bryansk, Belgorod, and Volgograd regions.

However, additional reports from around that date confirm a high number of drone attacks and interceptions on both sides of the Ukraine-Russia conflict. In the Krasnodar region, two drones were intercepted over the Azov Sea area and between 09:45 and 11:15 Moscow time. The city of Anapa in the Krasnodar region was also affected, with the air defense activity and incidents involving Ukrainian drones.

The city warning system was activated in Anapa, and the temporary restrictions at Gelendzhik Airport were related to the air defense activity in Anapa. These events were reported by Yug Times.

In addition to Krasnodar, drones were intercepted over the Kursk and Oryol regions, with three and six drones being downed respectively. The broad context is a continuing intense exchange of drone warfare during this period.

It's important to note that these incidents caused some damage and casualties, with Saratov experiencing damage to an oil refinery and casualties as a result of drone strikes that night.
