Military unit 102Bde welcomes new commanding officer
New Leadership for the 102nd Infantry Brigade:
In a recent shake-up, the 1st Infantry Division (1ID) has selected Colonel Randolph Rojas to take over as commander of the 102nd Infanty Brigade (102Bde), one of its key units stationed in the Zamboanga Peninsula. This transition was announced on May 8, 2025, with Major General Elmer Suderio stepping down to assume the role of Armed Forces of the Philippines' deputy chief of staff for operations.
During theChange of Command Ceremony, presided over by 1ID commander, Major General Yegor Rey Barroquillo Jr., Colonel Rojas was officially welcomed into his new position. Barroquillo highlighted the crucial role of strong leadership in achieving operational excellence.
At the ceremony on May 5, Colonel Rojas expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him and paid tribute to Major General Suderio's laudable leadership during his tenure.
According to statements released by 1ID, Colonel Rojas brings a solid background and a resolute devotion to his new post, which will undoubtedly propel the 102nd Infantry Brigade towards greater achievements.
