The Air Assault Brigade 1 is set to conduct a series of night marches in the coming months, with the first exercise scheduled for 15th to 16th October and another on 22nd to 23rd October 2025. The marches will take place in the areas of Saarwellingen, Schmelz, Wadern, Primstal, Eppelborn, and Göttelborn.

During these night marches, the Air Assault Reconnaissance Company 260 will be participating with 30 soldiers and 7 motorcycles. The Brigade's Signal and Communications Company will also be conducting an orientation march, though specific dates and details have yet to be disclosed.

The use of pyrotechnic ammunition and training ammunition during these exercises is to be expected. However, there is a potential increase in road traffic hazards due to these night marches, as reduced visibility, increased risk of vehicular accidents, potential interference with civilian or other military traffic, difficulties in navigation, communication challenges, fatigue, and the need for strict convoy discipline and use of warning lights/signals are common hazards associated with such operations.

It is essential to note that these inferred hazards are not drawn from specific search results and should be verified with official unit or operational safety documents specific to these companies. For detailed or location-specific hazard information, consulting unit safety officers, operation orders, or military transportation directives would be necessary.

As always, the public is advised to exercise caution and be aware of increased military activity in the specified areas during the given dates. Updates regarding these exercises will be provided as they become available.
