In a series of events over the past day, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported the interception and destruction of 12 Ukrainian drones over various Russian regions.

The first incidents were reported over the Belgorod region, where two Ukrainian drones were initially shot down. Subsequently, three more drones were also downed in the same region. In a separate incident, two additional Ukrainian drones were shot down over the Belgorod region.

Simultaneously, three Ukrainian drones were also shot down over the Kursk region. The interception and destruction of these additional six Ukrainian drones occurred between 20:00 and the end of Moscow time.

The Russian Ministry of Defense had not previously reported the interception of these additional six drones. However, they had earlier reported the interception of six Ukrainian drones over the Belgorod region, destroyed between 8:00 and 15:00.

The interception and destruction of the drones occurred between 15:00 and 20:00 Moscow time.

The unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) used by the Ukrainian armed forces and shot down over Russian regions are primarily developed and supplied by the Turkish company Baykar, which produces the Bayraktar TB2 drones given to Ukraine. This is supported by NATO countries such as the USA and the UK increasing production and supply of drones, with Baykar being specifically mentioned as the developer of these Turkish drones used by Ukraine.
