In Krasnodar, Russia, on September 18, Deputy Governor and Military Ataman Alexander Vlasov paid a visit to the Black Sea Cossack Regiment, where over 200 participants were engaged in intensive military field exercises in Sochi.

The training sessions were led by experienced instructors, military personnel, and special operations teams primarily from Russian military and security forces. The program included tactical, engineering, reconnaissance, medical, mine-explosive, and drone management training, aiming to prepare the Cossacks for various challenging scenarios.

During his visit, Vlasov observed several training sessions, including an obstacle course and a visit to a firing range where participants were learning sniper skills. He also held an interdepartmental meeting in the training center to discuss the progress and future plans of the exercises.

Alexander Vlasov expressed his satisfaction with the participation of nearly nine thousand Cossacks and several thousand Cossack youth in these military exercises by 2025. He emphasised the importance of these exercises in strengthening the Cossack community's readiness and capabilities.

In addition to the training activities, a modern and vintage weapon exhibition was held on the base, showcasing a variety of firearms used by the Cossacks throughout history.

The Black Sea Cossack Regiment's military exercises in Sochi are an essential part of the ongoing efforts to maintain the readiness and effectiveness of the Cossack community in Russia. The participants, hailing from Adler, Hostin, Central, and Lazarevsky District Cossack Societies, as well as around 100 Cossack youth representatives, are committed to honing their skills and contributing to the preservation of the Cossack tradition.
