Military operations are executed on an Estonian Baltic isle, an action initiated by NATO, following Russia's 'July Storm' maneuvers.

The Estonian islands in the Baltic Sea are currently the stage for two separate military exercises, with NATO forces conducting the Baltic Born exercise on the island of Saaremaa, while the Russian Navy completed their large-scale operation, "July Storm," just two days prior.

According to the Estonian broadcaster ERR, citing the General Staff of the local Defence Forces, the Baltic Born exercises involve the Estonian Navy, units of the local volunteer Defence League, and helicopters from NATO allies. The purpose of these training exercises is to practice options for defending Estonian islands in the Baltic.

During the exercises, servicemen will use blank ammunition, signal missiles, and training grenades. The maneuvers for the Baltic Born exercise are taking place on the island of Saaremaa and in the adjacent Baltic waters.

The NATO exercises are being supported by helicopter pilots from among the allies of the North Atlantic Alliance. However, specific details about the participants of the NATO Ally Helicopter exercise "Baltic Born" in Estonia on July 30 are not available at this time.

Meanwhile, the "July Storm" exercises, a significant undertaking by the Russian Navy, concluded recently. The scale of these exercises was significantly larger than that of the Baltic Born exercises.

The simultaneous exercises in the Baltic by Russia and the North Atlantic Alliance can potentially increase tension in the region. Nevertheless, both sides emphasise that these exercises are purely defensive in nature and aimed at enhancing readiness and interoperability among allied forces.

It is important to note that the US Department of Defense is not explicitly mentioned as participating in the Baltic Born exercises in this context. Additionally, there were no reports indicating that the NATO exercises Baltic Born, "July Storm," and Baltops 2025 were held in the Baltic waters at the same time.

As these exercises continue, the focus remains on maintaining a strong and united front in the region, ensuring the security and sovereignty of all nations involved.
