Get ready for some aerial action in the coming days as combat helicopters representing the Federal Defense Force will be traversing the Mühlhausen basin. Up to four of the "Tiger" models are set to appear simultaneously with some skimming the treetops, according to a spokesperson from the Combat Helicopter Regiment based in Hessian Fritzlar.

These aerial acrobatics are part of "routine flight drills" to ensure pilots renew their annual licenses. The exercise will unfold during regular daylight hours, with pairs of helicopters often flying at treetop level. No ground support is planned for this operation.

The sole combat helicopter regiment in Germany calls Fritzlar their home, according to the spokesperson. The Federal Defense Force deploys a total of 51 Eurocopter Tigers, the majority of which are stationed in Fritzlar. These combat helicopters are fabricated by Airbus. The Tigers are typically employed for reconnaissance and securing ground troops.
