Surprisingly, Mashkov himself stars in the film, taking on one of the roles.
drawing on the novel of the same name by Boris Vasilyev, "Unlisted" boasts a budget of 1 billion rubles and promises an authentic, realistic portrayal of military life. To achieve this, the actors were subjected to ten days of rigorous military training in a forest, living in tents, consuming biscuits, and drinking water from streams.
Discussing his experience, lead actor Vladislav Miller told us, "We were placed in a forest in the Kaluga region. We lived in tents, and we had a stream where we got water, boiled it, and drank it. We even washed ourselves there too. We were given weapons, but initially, we were afraid to shoot. It gradually passed. We had a real Russian army colonel with us. Not an actor but a real military man. We were restricted in our food. It was very hungry. We ate biscuits, much like described in the novel. We constantly craved something sweet. We went through a big educational stage because I play the commander. I need to know the commands. And we did it all, we were very enthusiastic and not a bit sorry."
Apart from his role as a producer, Mashkov, the 61-year-old actor, portrays the senior, Stepan Matveyevich, looking as energetic and fresh as ever dressed in a business suit. The performing arts dynamo, who manages two theaters, oversees the Moscow Art Theater School, and produces films while acting in select projects, shared his insights with us:
"I don't understand how I manage it all," Vladimir Львович admitted. "But any activity requires desire, understanding of processes, and the ability to fearlessly move forward, receiving new tasks. Nothing scares us. We move towards our goal with understanding."
Mashkov also highlighted that for him, Victory Day is the most cherished holiday.

"We've been performing a concert at the Museum of Victory for many years now," Yana Sekste reminisced. "This place unites people for whom this is a great holiday.
