The festivities will kick off with the raising of the national flag in the Plaza de la Hispanidad. This will be followed by a display of means at the Plaza de Toros de Cuenca, featuring the Cavalry Group, the canine service, and other units. On the same day, the Aguirre Cultural Center will inaugurate an exhibition on the history and evolution of the Civil Guard since its founding in 1844.
On Friday, October 3, the Sala Princesa Zaida will offer a photographic exhibition, while the Delegation of Culture will host a meeting with prominent Conquense women. The evening will see the town hall facade, the Mangana tower, the gorges, the San Antonio Bridge, and institutional buildings illuminated in green, as a tribute to the Civil Guard.
The film forum at the Aguirre Cultural Center will screen the film 'No Man's Land' about the activity of the Civil Guard in the Strait of Gibraltar. The event will be graced by the presence of actor Luis Zahera.
On Saturday, October 4, a concert at the Cuenca Auditorium will take place with the Civil Guard Music Unit, the Conservatory Choir of the city, and guitarist Mariano Mangas. The Old Town will host a solidarity scavenger hunt based on the children's character Leo Mangana, where children can obtain an honorary Civil Guard card.
The Provincial Council garden will host an exhibition of vintage vehicles, and the Aguirre Cultural Center will continue to showcase its exhibition on the history and evolution of the Civil Guard.
The central act of the day will be the magna procession of the centennial of the Virgin of the Angustias, where the band of cornets and drums of the Civil Guard from Valdemoro will participate.
The grand finale of the week-long celebration will take place on Sunday, October 5. The highlight of the day will be the military parade on Hermanos Becerril street, with around 600 troops participating. The week will conclude with a recognition of the agro-food sector, honouring the company Incarlopsa and Conquense producers linked to the 'Where Flavours Are Born' march.
