In a bold move, the Defence Headquarters has apprehended two members of the security forces allegedly involved in backing terrorist activities in the North-East.

The spokesperson for the Defence Headquarters, Maj. Gen. Markus Kangye, revealed this information in a statement on Saturday. Interestingly, these individuals were part of a hybrid force collaborating with troops to quell insurgency in the region.
The arrests took place during operations carried out between April 26 and 29 across Bama, Kukawa, and Madagali Local Government Areas. These security personnel were also among four logistics suppliers to terrorists who were captured by the troops, as stated by our sources.
Maj. Gen. Kangye characterized the arrested personnel's actions as a 'betrayal' and encouraged commanders to educate their forces about the crucial significance of steering clear of actions that might compromise ongoing military operations.
In a similar vein, tensions are escalating between India and Pakistan due to an explosive terror attack that transpired on April 22 in the Baisaran Valley near Pahalgam in Indian-administered Jammu & Kashmir that led to the deaths of 26 people. The Resistance Front (TRF), linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba, took responsibility. In the aftermath of this incident, authorities in Northeast India have detained several individuals for social media posts perceived as anti-national[4].
India continues to confront various forms of terrorism, including ISIS recruitment in states like Kerala, but it's essential to recognize that not all security personnel contribute to these illegal activities. The importance of upholding loyalty and individual accountability cannot be overstated.
India-Pakistan tensions remain high, similar to past incidents that have precipitated military confrontations[1]. As the situation unfolds, it is critical to prioritize unity and peace within our borders and avoid actions that could exacerbate the situation further.
Stay informed and vigilant as the story develops.
