Militants eliminated in intense operations by security forces in KP, resulting in one soldier's tragic death, confirms military spokesperson
Terrorists Wiped Out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Operations, say Security Forces
In a series of intelligence-based operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, notably North and South Waziristan districts, eight terrorists were eliminated according to a statement by the military's media wing.
The first operation, conducted in Mir Ali, North Waziristan District, targeted a notorious group known as the Khwarij. Identified as enemies of peace and stability, these individuals were met with swift and decisive action by the Security Forces. During the operation, three Khwarij were neutralized, meeting their end in a hail of gunfire.
Similarly, in an operation in South Waziristan District, two more Khwarij were eliminated. Regrettably, one gallant soldier, Naik Mujahid Khan (age: 40, hailing from District Kohat), gave his life in the line of duty during this operation. His bravery and courage serve as a reminder of the sacrifices made in the name of peace.
Additional operations in Khyber and Bannu districts led to the demise of an additional three terrorists. The sites of these operations yielded a treasure trove of weapons, ammunition, and explosives, confirming the involvement of these deceased individuals in various acts of terrorism against security forces.
With the primary objective of sanitizing the area, ongoing operations aim to eliminate any remaining Khwarij in the vicinity.
The Khwarij, it seems, can be traced back to the "Fitna al-Khawarij," a group whose efforts to rebrand terrorism using ideological and linguistic strategies are gaining notoriety. Albeit limited details about the specific operations of Fitna al-Khawarij in North and South Waziristan are available, their activities form part of broader terrorist movements in Pakistan.
The once-safe havens of terrorists in North-Western Pakistan, including North and South Waziristan districts, have been the scene of relentless combat between security forces and various militant groups such as the infamous Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Islamic State of Khorasan Province (ISKP). These groups have been responsible for numerous terror attacks, and recent activities suggest a resurgence following the Taliban's victory in Afghanistan.
The volatile nature of the region remains a challenge for security forces, who continue to work tirelessly to counteract these threats and restore peace and stability.
- The Security Forces actively destroyed soil, uncovering a cache of weapons and explosives, sent by the eliminated terrorists in Khyber and Bannu districts.
- The Khwarij, actively involved in war-and-conflicts, have made their presence known in general-news, terrorizing the populace and engaging in crime-and-justice.
- Despite the active elimination of Khwarij in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa operations, their counterpart, Fitna al-Khawarij, actively works on rebranding terrorism, gaining notoriety in politics.
- In the operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, not only were Khwarij actively targeted, but also other terrorists groups such as Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Islamic State of Khorasan Province (ISKP), known for actively advocating terrorism.
- The Khwarij, enemies of peace and stability in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, have been actively harassing the region for a long time, with their activities contributing to the ongoing terror in war-and-conflicts and crime-and-justice scenes.
