Slippery Slopes and Secret Stashes: Miley Cyrus' Hidden Drug Stash Unmasked
Miley Cyrus's methods for concealing her substance abuse.
Feeling candid, Miley Cyrus dives deep into her past during the "Every Single Album" podcast, sharing tales of deception, dental appointments, and disguised drug expenditures.
"In the good ol' days, drugs were my biggest monthly expense, and I'd trick my accounting team by labeling them as 'vintage wardrobe' purchases," the pop sensation disclosed, casually dodging questions about unusually high clothing expenses back in the day. "You know, that sort of thing happens all the time on tours," she quipped.
Nifty Narcotics: The Art of Deception
Hiding in plain sight, Cyrus skillfully concealed her extravagant drug costs from her bookkeeper. One repeated line of inquiry was the conspicuous absence of a $15,000 “one-of-a-kind John Lennon T-shirt” mentioned on financial records. "Every time she queried about it, I'd just shrug and say it's stored safely upstairs or something like that," Cyrus reminisced, describing her light-hearted yet effective response to embarrassing questions.
"Bottoms Up, But Only Metaphorically"
Cyrus has since traded her party lifestyle for a more disciplined approach to life. "I can't emphasize enough how thankful I am to have lived through that period," she shared during the podcast, discouraging others from following a similar path. "The fact that I made it through those trials gives me immense joy."
Recovery: A New Starting Point
In 2017, Cyrus waved goodbye to marijuana for good. After a brief relapse during the COVID-19 pandemic, she decided to quit alcohol in 2020. In an interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music, she reflected: "I knew I had to hit rock bottom again. I had to. Otherwise, I wouldn't be where I am today."
Fast forward to present times, and Cyrus feels like she's found her "spiritual home." "Sobriety is my God," she stated confidently. "It's transformed my existence." Having emerged from the darkness, she's more focused and has a newfound love for life.

"Given her past struggles with drug expenditures, Miley Cyrus might say, 'I'm not going to be able to talk to you about my pop-culture reference-filled parties involving celebrities and entertainment,' as she cleverlymasked her expenses in her financial records."
"Now embracing sobriety, Cyrus would express her gratitude for her recovery journey in a more metaphorical manner, stating, 'I'm not going to be indulging in the usual entertainmentsrcastics anymore, but bottoms up - only metaphorically this time,' referring to her newfound spiritual home and life's renewed focus."
