Miley Cyrus criticism targets past relationships with Nick Jonas and Liam Hemsworth.
Miley Cyrus isn't shy about taking playful jabs at her past loves. During a chat on the Every Single Album podcast on June 6, the Grammy-winning singer, 32, looked back on her early career and former relationships. This included not only her brief marriage to Liam Hemsworth, 35, but also her Disney days romance with Nick Jonas, 32.
Reflecting on her 2009 film The Last Song, Cyrus fondly remembered her time on set. And it was largely due to her co-star, Hemsworth.
"That's where I met Liam, with whom I wrote a boatload of not-so-sweet songs about," the Flowers hitmaker said with a giggle, "Talk about catching strays."
This light-hearted jibe followed a similar comment about Nick Jonas earlier in the episode.
She branded him a "jerk" and a "prick" who "ditched" her after their teen romance ended in 2009.
"He's still catching strays," she quipped, though she emphasized, "I like Nick... Everything is ace... Niley forever."
Concerning Hemsworth, the former couple called it quits in 2019 after their short-lived marriage. These days, Cyrus is smitten with musician Maxx Morando, while Hemsworth is coupled up with model Gabriella Brooks.
Sources confirm Cyrus and Morando have been an item since 2021 and are quite serious[1][2][4]. They live together and share a strong bond, with Cyrus expressing that Morando inspires her both personally and musically[1][2]. As for Hemsworth, there's no buzz of a romantic reconnection[4].
The world of entertainment is abuzz with Miley Cyrus's playful jabs at her past loves. In a recent podcast episode, she recalled her former relationship with Liam Hemsworth and branded Nick Jonas a "jerk" and a "prick" who "ditched" her. Despite her light-hearted remarks, Cyrus emphasized her fondness for both celebrities, referring to the Hemsworth-Cyrus pairing as 'Niley forever.'
