Mikhail Burdikov's Memorial Cup Set for Kstov Tournament
The IX International "Cup of Strongest Athletes in Memory of Honored Coach of USSR M.G. Burdikov" 2025 is an upcoming prestigious international sports tournament, focusing on wrestling, scheduled to take place from August 2 to 5 at the International Olympic Sports Academy in Kstovo. M.G. Burdikov, a Honored Coach of Russia and Honorary Citizen of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, was the founder of the World Sambo Academy, which is located in Kstovo. In 2014, a monument to M.G. Burdikov was opened in Kstovo on the 50th anniversary of the World Sambo Academy.
Following the Cup of Strongest Athletes in Memory of Honored Coach of USSR M.G. Burdikov, a training and educational event featuring professional sambists will take place at the International Olympic Sports Academy in Kstovo from August 5 to 8.
