MidwayUSA Foundation Disburses Over $14 Million in Cash Grants During 2025
In a significant move to support America's youth shooting teams, the MidwayUSA Foundation has announced that the next grant cycle will open on October 15, 2025. This foundation, which has been funding youth shooting teams since 2008, has so far distributed over $80 million in cash grants.
Last year, the MidwayUSA Foundation awarded a total of $14.2 million in cash grants, with $7.7 million going directly to youth shooting teams. This distribution supported expenses such as ammo, targets, entry fees, safety equipment, and travel for these teams.
The grants are available for various programs, including coach training, range development, organizational, and team grants. In 2025 alone, a total of 1,487 youth shooting teams received a cash grant, with an average payout of approximately $5,225.70 per team.
Murray State University's Rifle Program was among the recipients in 2025, receiving both its annual team cash grant and a range development grant from the MidwayUSA Foundation.
The endowment model of the MidwayUSA Foundation ensures that these grants will continue to fund youth shooting teams indefinitely. This is made possible through donations, which are matched by the foundation, thanks to Larry and Brenda Potterfield.
All donations made to the MidwayUSA Foundation go directly to the endowment of the donor's choice, with no funds being used for operations. Donations are also tax-deductible.
Details for the grant cycle can be found on the MidwayUSA Foundation's website. The top five states receiving grant funding from the MidwayUSA Foundation in 2025 were Minnesota, Missouri, Texas, Iowa, and Wisconsin.
Pete Eisentrager, the Executive Director of Midway USA, stated that the latest cash grant payout brings the Foundation's total cash grant impact to over $80 million since 2008.
The MidwayUSA Foundation's commitment to supporting youth shooting sports is a testament to its dedication to nurturing future generations of responsible and skilled shooters. For more information and to apply for grants, visit the MidwayUSA Foundation's website.
