Get Ready for a Fresh Season with SuS 09 Dinslaken's Second Team

It's time to shake things up at SuS 09 Dinslaken! Sports pundit Patrick Berger, from Sky Sports, recently made waves with the transfer of top-tier player Kevin De Bruyne to SSC Napoli. But guess who's making headlines closer to home? None other than Markus Greulich. This familiar face has stepped up to lead the reserve team, filling the void left by Daniel Pilch's departure.

In a quick turn of events, Greulich joins the coaching roster alongside Philipp Koch and Pascal Dunkel. The trio is eager to bring an attractive style of play to the 09ers' second team.

From Vierlinden to Duisburg and Back to the 09ers

Greulich's coaching journey began at DJK Vierlinden back in 2012. After a nine-game stint with SuS 09, he found himself coaching the C-juniors in Vierlinden. His most recent post was with the U-16 girls at MSV Duisburg. Now, Greulich is back with the 09ers, a move that he almost walked away from, but fate had other plans.

"I didn't think twice when the 09ers approached me. Now here I am, looking forward to the upcoming season," Greulich shared, explaining his sudden change of heart.

Preparing for the New Season

Greulich is already making waves within the team. With ambitious goals to finish in a single-digit position in the table and to showcase quality football, Greulich has his work cut out for him. A short training session has already been held, and Greulich believes there's potential in the team. Preparation begins on July 14th, but before then, the players are taking a well-deserved break. Greulich has lined up five to six test matches with other clubs to gauge the team's progress.

Potential Transfers

While no concrete news on transfers has been announced yet, Greulich hinted at the possibility of strengthening one or two positions. Intriguingly, a connection to Patrick Berger has been made, with the social media department confirming that they've reached out to the pundit, who was open to the idea.

As for the players, they've got an end-of-season trip to Cala Ratjada, Mallorca, to look forward to before diving headfirst into the new season. Stay tuned for more updates as the action unfolds!
