Middle East crisis situation now addressed by the European Parliament through a passed resolution.
Join us for an enlightening and thought-provoking evening as we delve into Rebekka Endler's latest book, "Witches, Bitches, It-Girls." This event, part of the Feminist City Talks, is being held in cooperation with the Innsbruck City Library and is a must-attend for anyone interested in gender studies, history, and contemporary social issues.
About the Book
"Witches, Bitches, It-Girls" is a humorous, witty, and fiercely spirited exploration of the roots of patriarchy and its impact on our thinking and actions today. Endler takes readers on an anecdotal journey through human history, touching on topics such as canonization in art, the Romantic era, normality, feminist waves, cancel culture, transphobia, and the role of women's images like "witches, bitches, and it-girls." The book also examines the mommy blogger wave and the role of women's images in maintaining patriarchy.
The Event
The event will be held at the Innsbruck City Library, a Green Events Tirol Location, encouraging environmentally friendly travel. All rooms at the venue are accessible, and an induction loop is available in the event room for those with hearing impairments.
The discussion will be moderated by Laura Volgger from the Center for Interdisciplinary Gender Studies Innsbruck, University of Innsbruck. Endler's first book, "Das Patriarchat der Dinge. Warum die Welt Frauen nicht passt," was published in 2021.
