Midas Secures $50M to Expand Tokenized Asset Platform Amid Industry Boom
Midas, a platform specialising in tokenized assets, has announced a major funding round and significant growth in its financial products. The company recently secured $50 million in Series A financing, led by investors RRE Ventures and Creandum. At the same time, its mToken product line has surpassed $1.7 billion in cumulative minted assets, marking a substantial milestone for the firm. The $50 million raised in the Series A round will support Midas' plans to expand its platform. Funds will also go towards strengthening ties with traditional financial networks, helping bridge the gap between decentralised and established systems.
Midas has introduced its Open Liquidity Architecture initiative to improve liquidity provisioning for tokenized instruments. This system includes Midas Staked Liquidity, which allows users to access immediate liquidity for their investments. So far, the platform has generated over $37 million in returns for participants through these products. The company's total value locked (TVL) has now exceeded $500 million. Looking ahead, Midas aims to broaden its offerings to include tokenized equities and alternative assets. This move aligns with a wider industry trend, as major firms like Nasdaq, Kraken, LayerZero, and BlackRock also push into tokenized asset integration. Nasdaq and Kraken are developing an Equities Transformation Gateway, while LayerZero has partnered with the Canton Network to enable cross-chain interoperability for tokenized assets. Meanwhile, BlackRock has made tokenization a key strategic focus for 2026. Midas' latest funding and growth reflect its position in this evolving market.
With $50 million in fresh capital, Midas is set to expand its platform and deepen integration with traditional finance. The company's mTokens have already reached $1.7 billion in minted value, while its TVL stands at over $500 million. These developments come as tokenized assets gain broader adoption across major financial institutions.
