The Stranger in the Bathroom: A Spooky Halloween Experience - Micky Beisenherz's Late-Night Intruder Ordeal Highlights Emergency Service Strains

Micky Beisenherz, a renowned multimedia personality, and his wife experienced a late-night incident when an unexpected intruder entered their apartment. The incident, involving their roommate and a mix-up with the entry buzzer, has highlighted the challenges of overstretched emergency services and the importance of neighbourly vigilance.

The chaos unfolded on a Sunday night when Micky and his wife received an unexpected doorbell ring. An intruder had locked themselves in the bathroom, causing distress to the couple and their roommates, Danielle and Marion. Micky, trying to keep calm, mixed gin and tonics, nearly using frozen cauliflower as ice cubes. Meanwhile, Danielle and Marion had accidentally let the intruder in by pressing the entry buzzer.

Micky called emergency dispatch at 10:44 PM, but the police were busy and advised them to keep watch over the hallway. The intruder, who turned out to be their roommate, had ended up in the red-light district and likely had knockout drops slipped into their drink. The police finally arrived around 12:40 AM to apprehend the wasted roommate, who had no memory of the night before. Micky, relieved, went to bed afterward.

The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of neighbourly watchfulness, especially when emergency services are stretched thin. Despite the scare, Micky and his wife were fortunate to have each other and their neighbours to rely on. The incident also underscores the potential dangers of accepting drinks from strangers, as their roommate may have been a victim of drink spiking.
