Take a break, make some music—that's what Schlager star Eric Philippi aimed for, but separation rumors have been swirling around, causing him to clear the air. He assures fans, "We're still together, and we're stronger than ever."

For approximately two tumultuous years, Eric Philippi and Michelle, a fellow Schlager singer, have been a couple. Despite the age gap—he's 28, and she's 53—they've weathered harsh criticism and gossip. Michelle's former manager, Markus Krampe, even resigned over their relationship, alleging that Philippi was manipulating Michelle and that she was infatuated with her younger boyfriend.

However, the dynamic duo continued to make headlines. In June, they confirmed their engagement, putting all doubts to rest. Lately, though, whispers of trouble and a separation have resurfaced.

"Don't believe the rumors"

In a candid Instagram post, Philippi addressed the split rumors head-on, emphasizing that they are not true. "We're still together," he confirms, adding, "Just because we don't share every moment of our lives on social media doesn't mean we've split or there's an issue between us."

Sharing the love

In his message, Philippi shares a heart emoji on Michelle's Instagram account with the caption, "Just love." Michelle reciprocated the gesture in her Instagram story, stating, "Just love back."

A public commitment

The couple went public with their commitment last summer on Florian Silbereisen's show. Silbereisen reflected on their announcement during the "Schlagerbooom Open Air," saying, "You announced that you're a couple and made quite a stir." Philippi revealed that his feelings for Michelle have been crystal-clear since their first encounter, and they had been secretly together for some time before making their relationship official.

A promising career

Philippi has been making waves in the Schlager scene since the release of his debut album "Schockverliebt" in 2021. In contrast, Michelle has a longstanding career, representing Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2001. She has three daughters from three different partners, including Matthias Reim, with whom she had daughter Marie Reim in 2000. Marie is also a Schlager singer and currently features in the RTL show "Die Verräter - Vertraue Niemandem!" and on RTL.
