The Charlotte Hornets, currently positioned 11th in the Eastern Conference with a record of 19-26, have been the subject of much discussion in the NBA this season, particularly surrounding their star point guard, Kemba Walker.

Walker, who has been with the Hornets for seven years, has proven to be a valuable asset to the team. In 43 games this season, he has averaged 21.8 points, 5.9 assists, and 3.4 rebounds. His strong performance and long-standing relationship with the fans have made him a beloved figure in Charlotte.

Despite this, recent reports have suggested that the Hornets might be considering trading Walker. Last week, it was indicated that the team had decided to shop Walker after failing to generate much interest in their other players. However, owner Michael Jordan quickly dismissed these rumours, stating that Walker is not being actively traded.

Jordan has not given up on the current season of the Charlotte Hornets. He has been actively discussing potential trades with other teams, but his admiration for Walker is clear. Jordan has stated that he would not trade Walker for anything but an All-Star player.

Walker himself has expressed his desire to remain with the Hornets. In a recent statement, he stated that he would be upset if he were traded from the team, referring to Charlotte as 'home' and 'where I've grown up'.

The Hornets are still actively considering trades for players from other teams, with a willingness to move Walker potentially tempting a team to pick up one of the players with a bad contract as well. Several NBA teams have shown interest in trading for Walker, with the last opportunity to complete a trade occurring before the NBA trade deadline on February 8th.

Throughout his time with the team, Walker has done a lot for the Charlotte community. His emotional connection to the Hornets is evident, and Jordan has emphasised that the asking price for Walker is high. He has also stated that teams have expressed interest in players from the Charlotte Hornets' roster.

The current season has been a disappointment for the Hornets, but with the trade deadline approaching, fans will be eager to see what moves Jordan will make to improve the team's prospects for the future.
