The Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany, is known for its lively atmosphere and traditional music. This year, the competition for the prestigious Wiesn-Hit title is heating up, with a new contender making waves.

Michael Fenzl, a musician from Rosenheim, has won the music competition "A Liad für d'Wiesn." Fenzl's winning song, titled "Bierdringa," has been well-received, but he is not the only contender for the Wiesn-Hit title.

Oimara Beni Hafner, known for her song "Wackelkontakt" in the après-ski scene and carnival, is also considered a hot contender for the title. Hafner, who took over the musical patronage for the competition, has already made an impact in the music industry. Her song "Wackelkontakt" reached number one on the German singles chart in April 2025.

The Wiesn-Hit title is a prestigious award in the Oktoberfest, and the competition's musical patronage is a significant role. This year, the competition was held for the first time by the city of Munich.

While the win in "A Liad für d'Wiesn" does not yet determine the Wiesn-Hit, it does indicate a strong start for the contenders. According to Gema results, another song, "Prosit der Gemütlichkeit," is sung the most often at the Oktoberfest. The song, which encourages drinking, is likely to boost sales.

A total of 115 songs were submitted for the competition, and the winner was announced during the traditional Wiesn-Rundgang by the Wiesn-Chef, Christian Scharpf (SPD). Fenzl won the online voting by a clear margin, receiving 36,000 votes.

As the Oktoberfest continues, the race for the Wiesn-Hit title is sure to be exciting. With contenders like Fenzl and Hafner, music lovers can expect a lively and entertaining festival.
