Michael Block Successfully Comes Back to PGA Tour with Recent Major Victory

Michael Block, a PGA professional, has made a triumphant return to the PGA Tour following his latest victory at the Southern California PGA Championship. The event, staged at the Arnold Palmer Course at Mission Hills Country Club and the South Course at Ironwood Country Club in Palm Desert, saw Block shoot an impressive 63-66-71 to secure a wire-to-wire victory.

The victory not only marks Block's fifth win at the Southern California PGA Championship but also guarantees his sixth appearance at the American Express, set to take place in the upcoming year. This success also qualifies him for the 2026 American Express at La Quinta Country Club in January.

Block's fame significantly increased after a top 15 finish at the 2023 PGA Championship at Oak Hill. Following this impressive performance, he received a flurry of PGA Tour invites. However, invites for Michael Block have dwindled since then, and he has only played in the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial this year, along with the PGA Championship.

In addition to his PGA Tour appearances, Block also played in the Asian Tour's International Series England in 2023. He also participated in the 2023 Charles Schwab Challenge golf tournament, where he achieved his best result of T27 in a trip Down Under.

The Southern California PGA Championship did not include any advertisements, making it a pure celebration of golfing talent. Block played in the World Wide Technology Championship in 2023, which included a final round hole-in-one playing alongside Rory McIlroy. He also competed in the RBC Canadian Open and the World Wide Technology Championship that year.

Block's win also grants him a place in the Monday qualifier for the World Wide Technology Championship in November. He is confirmed to participate in the 35th PGA Tour event at the American Express in the upcoming year and is set to return to the PGA Tour for the Fall Series event at El Cardonal at Diamante Cabo San Lucas in November.
