Mexico to Face Uruguay at Torreón's Estadio TSM Corona

Mexico's national football team is set to take on Uruguay in a friendly match at Torreón's Estadio TSM Corona on November 15, as part of the November FIFA window. This will be the third friendly ever staged by Mexico at the TSM, and the second South American friendly at this venue.

Ivar Sisniega, Mexico's Director of National Teams, has expressed his admiration for the TSM, calling it an impressive stadium and training center. He believes that the TSM is the best choice for the game against Uruguay.

The TSM could potentially be considered as a World Cup base camp, given its high-quality facilities. The stadium has previously hosted several international matches, including the game between Mexico and Brazil in 2011, which marked the farewell of Oswaldo Sánchez from international football.

This upcoming game against Uruguay will be the fifth time Mexico plays in Torreón. The first game in Torreón was in 2010, under manager Javier Aguirre. Scheduling the game against Uruguay is part of Aguirre's plan to measure Mexico against top competition in preparation for the 2026 World Cup.

Ecuador, Colombia, and Uruguay are among the world's top 20 teams and have just completed tough qualifiers. Playing against such teams will provide Mexico with valuable experience and help them prepare for the upcoming World Cup.

A second friendly is expected to be added to Mexico's schedule three days after the game against Uruguay, with Paraguay strongly tipped as the likely opponent. However, the date and confirmation about the opponent for the second friendly match between Mexico and Paraguay are not yet available in the current search results.

This will be Mexico's second-to-last game of 2025. The exact date and details for the remaining games will be announced in due course. Stay tuned for more updates on Mexico's football schedule!
