But Olvera saved his best for the final round, delivering a stunning performance with a forward 2 1/2 somersault dive with three twists, performed in a pike position. This dive scored an impressive 102.60 points, sealing his historic victory and marking Mexico's first-ever world title in the men's 3m springboard event.
Prior to this victory, Olvera had already demonstrated his world-class status by winning the men's 1-meter springboard world title in Doha and earning multiple medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics. His total of eight career Worlds medals includes gold, silver, and bronze.
