Metal legends Iron Maiden have unveiled additional European tour dates scheduled for 2026. This lineup includes a cellphone-free performance in Paris and a clandestine show in the United Kingdom.
Iron Maiden, the legendary British heavy metal band, has announced additional European dates for their Run For Your Lives world tour in 2026. The tour will consist of 11 shows from May to July, promising an unforgettable experience for fans across the continent.
The tour kicks off in Hannover, Germany on June 2, followed by a show in Amsterdam, Netherlands on June 10. Fans in Bratislava, Slovakia can catch the band on May 30, while Iron Maiden will return to La Défense Arena in Paris, France, where they played two sold-out concerts earlier this year. The Paris date of the tour will enforce a phone ban using Yondr pouches, ensuring a more immersive and engaging concert experience.
The tour will also stop in Sofia, Bulgaria on May 26 and Bucharest, Romania on May 28. One of the highlights of the tour will be the show in Athens, Greece on May 23, marking Iron Maiden's return to the city after a decade. The tour will conclude in the UK with a headline date on July 11, 2026, at an undisclosed location. Details about the exact stadium have not yet been announced.
Bruce Dickinson, the frontman of Iron Maiden, spoke highly of the phone ban practice, stating, "We want our fans to be fully present and engaged during the show, and the phone ban helps create an atmosphere where everyone can enjoy the music together."
The Eddie's Dive Bar concept will continue on the new Run For Your Lives dates, offering exclusive merchandise and beverages. Fans can expect a unique and memorable experience at these shows, with the band promising to deliver their signature high-energy performances.
Nicko McBrain, the longtime Maiden drummer, retired from the live stage last year after suffering a TIA (transient ischaemic attack, or mini-stroke) in January 2023. Simon Dawson, the touring drummer for Iron Maiden, will take over drumming duties for the Run For Your Lives tour. Dawson has previously played with founder/bassist Steve Harris in Harris' side-project British Lion.
Tickets for the European dates go on sale next week. Details about the band's festival appearances in 2026 will be announced at a later date. Iron Maiden has also announced that they will take the entire year 2027 off from live shows, giving fans plenty of time to prepare for their return in 2028. The Run For Your Lives tour show in Budapest received a near-perfect four-and-a-half stars from Metal Hammer, making it a must-see event for metal fans everywhere.
