Metal legend approaches Diamond Rowe, seeking her expertise in guitar tutoring.

Ready to dive into some sick guitar stories? Let's get started!

Last year, guitar-shredding powerhouse Diamond Rowe carved her name in electric guitar history by scoring a badass signature guitar from Jackson. She's not just another pretty face though, she's also the second Black female artist ever to earn this prestigious title, following in the footsteps of the incredibly talented H.E.R.

But guitar legends don't just rest on their laurels, do they? Well, neither does Rowe. One of her greatest achievements, in her own words, happened off-stage - when Slipknot's Jim Root, a total guitar badass, reached out asking for lessons! Imagine that!

"I got a message from Jim Root, and he was like, 'Dude, you need to give me guitar lessons!' I was like, 'Alright, buddy, you're on!'" she told the guys at Stereoboard, chuckling as her sassy grin shines. "I was like, 'Let's exchange guitar lessons!'"

We don't know what secrets these rockstars swapped during their lessons, but it's safe to say that both can bring killer chops to the table. Their exchange was nothing short of electric!

Rowe's electrifying blend of nu-metal nostalgia and wicked guitar solos has left quite the impression on her fellow musicians. Powerhouses like Fear Factory guitarist Dino Cazares and Hatebreed's Jamey Jasta have given her their seal of approval. However, mastering the art of the guitar solo in a nu-metal setting wasn't a walk in the park.

In an interview with our website, she admitted last year, "Not many bands of Tetrarch's nature play guitar solos. I had to learn how to fit our style and not just play some dad-rock solo."

Among her numerous accomplishments, she even gifted one of her signature guitars to Brian "Head" Welch of Korn. "That experience was insane!" she beams.

The band Tetrarch, who recently dropped their third album, The Ugly Side of Me, are now reaching new heights after a pact they made years ago. "When we were just 11, we were like, 'We want to be one of the biggest bands in our genre!'" Rowe recalled. "I don't want to celebrate our new album for too long, because there's still a lot to do. We want to play bigger shows, bigger tours, and become a household name."

For those who might think a signature model is a free pass to go crazy, Rowe has a different perspective. "I think people might look at a signature model and think, 'I'm gonna put everything I've ever wanted to try into this guitar,'" she says. "But for me, I wanted it to be what Diamond plays. So anyone picking up this guitar is getting something I truly believe in."

In a world where ego often rules, Rowe stands out as a modern-day guitar hero who's all about genuine talent and passion for the instrument. "I never tried to be something I'm not," she underscores, "and I was able to accomplish all these things organically on my journey. And now, something like getting a signature guitar has had a bigger impact than maybe I could have even anticipated. That's a cool thing. And it all comes from just being Diamond."
