WhatsApp's little blue helper, Meta AI, has finally made its way to Germany, assisting users with searches, writing messages, and answering queries on WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook. But, if you're one of those folk who aren't a big fan of digital assistants, you're probably wondering how to get rid of the chatty bot.
Unfortunately, oddly enough, Meta AI can't be completely switched off. There's no option to do so in settings or the chat with the bot. However, you can escape its chatter by simply muting it.
Learn how to block the Meta AI Bot on WhatsApp:
- Tap the blue ring in the chat list to open the conversation with Meta AI.
- Instead of sending a message, tap on its name at the top edge to access the chat settings, just like you would with a human contact.

Although the little blue ring will still be visible in the chat list, muting the bot has its advantages. If someone adds the bot to a group chat, it will also be muted for you there.
