Memphis Incident: Owner Shot by Family Dog, Oreo

Yanking Tail Leads to Explosion - Tennessee Man Injured by Pet Pitbull Triggering Gun

- Memphis Incident: Owner Shot by Family Dog, Oreo

Hang on to your seats, folks! In an unexpected turn of events, a resident of Memphis, Tennessee, found himself in hot water when his trusty companion, a lively Pitbull named Oreo, inadvertently triggered a gun. The incident, as absurd as it may sound, wasn't some action-packed movie scene but a jolt of reality.

According to reports from local authorities, this dynamic duo was fast asleep when things took an unexpected twist. Seems like sleepy time was interrupted by Oreo's playful antics that lead to an unforeseen consequence. Lemme tell ya, Oreo wasn't your average couch potato. Known for his affinity for leaping around, he had a rather peculiar way of showing his gratitude for a good nap.

One fateful night, as his owner snoozed away, Oreo, in what appeared to be an enthusiastic display of affection, sprang onto the bed and, unbeknownst to either of them, landed right on top of a... not-so-well-concealed gun. And, as if they were actor and prop in some crazy action movie, our canine friend's paw ended up in the trigger guard, giving that gun an unwelcomed kickstart.

Poor guy ended up with a graze to the thigh but, thankfully, didn't meet a worse fate. He was quick to hightail it to the hospital for a speedy recovery. Word on the street is that our lady friend, who was present at the time, was left utterly astonished and shaken, as any sensible human would be.

Now, I don't want you to think we're living in some twisted western movie set, where guns are as common as WiFi routers. While it's true that USA is known for its gun culture, incidents of animals shooting humans are as rare as finding a vegan at a barbeque joint. The last known incident happended a couple of years ago in Kansas, where a man lost his life after a German Shepherd stepped on an improperly stored hunting rifle.

So remember folks, it pays to be cautious when it comes to weapons, even around your furry friends. Keep those guns locked up tight, or better yet, unloaded, and that way, visiting the hospital for a "doggy kiss" will keep its fun and innocent connotations. Peace out! ✌️
