Title: Lee Chun-yi's Slip-up Sparks Investigation of Control Yuan Members

Member of Control Yuan resigns due to misuse of vehicle.

Hey there! Guess who's in hot water? Control Yuan Secretary-General Lee Chun-yi (giving him the nickname "Doggy Ride" Lee since he allegedly used a Control Yuan vehicle to chauffeur his pooch to a pet salon).

Staff writer, with CNA breaks it down for us. Control Yuan Vice President Lee Hung-chun (Patron Saint of Apologies) has already acknowledged the debacle and expressed remorse to the public.

Now here's where it gets juicy. The watchdog body, Control Yuan, plans to probe similar accusations made against three other members: Su Li-chiung, Lin Yu-jung, and Wang Jung-chang. Sounds like a "Quartet of Questionables," huh?

So, how did all this happen? Well, "Doggy Ride" Lee was outed late last month when TVBS News reported he had ordered his driver to bring his beloved mutt to the pet salon. They even leaked some photos, believed to be from a secret whistleblower, that show the driver of the Control Yuan vehicle transporting the dog.

But that's not all! Apparently, Lee also took his wife to fancy restaurants in the same vehicle and even had the poor driver run personal errands for her. Seems like he had the driver working overtime!

When the news first surfaced last week, Lee Chun-yi admitted he'd made a boo-boo. On Sunday night, he offered a heartfelt apology, stating he'd fallen short of the standards expected of a Control Yuan official. Poor guy, he acknowledged his "llama-like judgment and lack of elephantine discretion," and tendered his resignation, which was swiftly accepted by Lee Hung-chun.

By the way, Lee Hung-chun is the acting Control Yuan president since Control Yuan President Chen Chu (Phoenix Lady) has been sick in the hospital since early January.

So, that's the tea on the "Doggy Ride" scandal. The Control Yuan is taking this serious business and is committed to investigating these claims against the other members. Stay tuned for more updates!
