Mehmet Siginc wins second WSOPC ring in Calgary’s high-stakes duel

Mehmet Siginc has claimed his second World Series of Poker Circuit ring in Calgary. He defeated friend Nicholas Lee in a heads-up showdown at the $600 No-Limit Hold'em/Pot-Limit Omaha event. The victory earned him CA$40,545 (around USD $29,000) after a winner-take-all deal.

Now, he is back in action, facing Alen Shen in another heads-up battle—this time in the Monster Stack tournament.

The final table of the WSOPC Calgary event saw Siginc outlast a tough field. Philip Dobrikin secured third place before the action narrowed to a two-player duel. Siginc and Lee, both experienced players, agreed to a deal that left the title and top prize for the winner.

Siginc entered the heads-up match with a dominant chip lead. His aggressive play and larger stack gave him an early advantage. The final hand sealed his victory, adding another ring to his collection.

Just days later, Siginc returned to the tables for the Monster Stack event. Once again, he reached the heads-up stage, this time against Alen Shen. Holding the big stack, he now aims for another title in Calgary.

Siginc’s win in the $600 NLH/PLO event marks his second WSOPC ring. The CA$40,545 prize boosts his earnings, while his current heads-up match in the Monster Stack could bring further success. With the chip lead in his favour, he remains a strong contender for another victory.
