Authentic Living: Meghan Markle Opens Up About Her Intimate and Playful Dance Before Giving Birth

Meghan's Belly Dance Holds a Hidden Meaning Revealed

In a surprising and endearing move, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, shared a video of herself dancing with Prince Harry just before giving birth to their daughter Lilibet. The video, posted on Instagram with the caption, "When spicy food, lots of walking, and acupuncture didn't help, this was my last resort," has generated a whirlwind of reactions due to its intimate nature. Now, Meghan has shed some light on her decision to share such an intimate moment with the world.

Meghan's playful dance in the hospital room aimed to induce labor, as evident in the video where she is seen twerking and trying to rouse some contractions. The dance seemed to work as Lilibet was born on the same day. In a recent podcast interview on "Aspire with Emma Grede," Meghan opened up about her reasons for this reveal, four years after stepping back from her royal duties.

The Duchess candidly admitted that she wants to be authentic in her approach to life and sharing moments personally. She highlighted her "Baby Mama Dance" as a prime example, stating, "You have to be authentic." Emma Grede, the moderator of the podcast, praised Meghan's carefree attitude, remarking, "I want to see that joy and honesty, that 'I don't care' attitude."

Meghan revealed that the intimate video serves a significant purpose for her, conveying that behind the media frenzy lies a real, living, and joyful family life. "It's a great reminder that despite all the noise and whatever people might do, there's still a whole life – a real, authentic, joyful life – happening behind the scenes," she stated.

Since her return to social media earlier this year, Meghan has been using her Instagram account to share personal moments, stating, "I'm just grateful to have a place now where I can share things on my own terms." With around 3.8 million Instagram followers, she also uses her account to promote her lifestyle brand "As Ever" and recently granted rare glimpses of her children on Father's Day in the U.S., posting photos of Prince Harry with their children, Lilibet and Archie.

When asked if she would rewrite her public image from scratch, Meghan simply replied, "I'd ask people to write the truth."
