In a surprising turn of events, Duchess Meghan has shared a unique and private video on Instagram to celebrate her daughter Lilibet's fourth birthday. The video showcases Meghan, then pregnant, and Prince Harry dancing in a hospital room as an attempt to induce labor.
This isn't your typical royal hospital scene! The duchess, now 43, has divulged an unusually intimate glimpse of her life as a royal, publishing this uncommon video for the world to see.
The video captures Meghan grooving in a black dress, shaking her hips and derriere to the music. To induce labor, the tricks had run out: spicy food, walks, and acupuncture were no match. The only option left? A good old dance-off! Despite the circumstances, the duke gets in on the action, demonstrating his odd yet endearing moves alongside his wife.
"Four years ago, this happened too," Meghan captioned the video, referring to her and Prince Harry's struggle with their children's overdue arrivals. Bound to happen when freight trains are delayed!
A Triplet of Birthday Posts
This isn't the first, nor the last post Meghan dedicates to Lilibet on her special day. Earlier, she shared black-and-white photos, one featuring herself arm-in-arm with the older Lilibet on the beach, and another of her breastfeeding the newborn. "Four years ago, she entered our lives - and every day since has been brighter and better," she penned.
Two captivating photos of Prince Harry with Lilibet also graced social media, one showing him shortly after her birth, and the other from behind, with the girl by his hand. "The sweetest bond to watch unfold. Papa's little girl and favorite adventurer," the caption read.
Breaking the Norms
Even though Meghan and Prince Harry have largely kept their private life and their children away from the public eye, this year has seen a shift. After a seven-year hiatus, Meghan's return to social media and the beginning of a new chapter in her life coincides with her Netflix series "With Love, Meghan" and her lifestyle brand "As Ever."
Since birth, we've only seen a few images of Princess Lilibet Diana. She was born on June 4, 2021, in the U.S., named after her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II, who was known as Lilibet in the family. Lilibet and her six-year-old brother Archie currently reside in California with their parents, who stepped back from the British royal family in 2020.
