Breaking away from the royal tradition's veil of privacy, the joyous video on Instagram showcases Duchess Meghan, 43, dancing with her husband Prince Harry in a hospital room - just before the birth of their daughter Lilibet four years ago. With a black dress and swaying hips, the duchess cheerfully danced, while Prince Harry, fully in the groove, offered playful, robotic-like moves.
The caption read, "Four years ago, this happened too. Both of our children arrived a week late. After spicy food, long walks, and acupuncture didn't help - this was the last resort!" The duo's dance move is said to have aided in the induction of labor.
Triple Treat for Lilibet's Day
This humble video was the third post Meghan shared to celebrate her daughter's fourth birthday. Earlier in the day, Meghan had posted several black-and-white photos: one of her and Lilibet arm in arm on the beach, and another of her breastfeeding the newborn. "Four years ago, she entered our lives - and every day since has been brighter and better," she wrote.
She also posted two photos of Harry with his daughter, one after her birth and another of them walking together. "The sweetest bond to watch unfold. Papa's little girl and favorite adventurer," she captioned them.
A Breach of Privacy?
Meghan's various posts mark a departure from the usually private lives of Harry and his family. However, since early this year and Meghan's return to social media post a seven-year hiatus, things have started to change. This shift may serve dual purposes - promoting her Netflix series "With Love, Meghan" and her lifestyle brand "As Ever."
Since the arrival of Princess Lilibet Diana on June 4, 2021, in the US, there have been few images of the little princess in public. Named after her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II, affectionately known as Lilibet, she resides with her brother Archie (6) and parents in California following Harry and Meghan's departures from the British royal family in 2020.
