Machine Gun Kelly (MGK), the musician and actor, has become a father for the second time. His second daughter, Saga Blade Fox-Baker, was born on March 27.
In a recent interview on "Today With Jenna and Friends," MGK shared the story behind the naming process for his two daughters. He revealed that he "lost the first one and won the second one," a metaphorical statement indicating his struggle to choose the right name for his first daughter, Casie, who is now 16.
The naming process for Casie was not an easy one. MGK initially wanted to name his daughter "Kid," but his daughter's mother did not appreciate the idea and told him to "shut up." In the end, MGK chose the name Casie, a name he feels he won in the naming process.
For Saga Blade Fox-Baker, MGK won the naming process. He shared that his role in parenting primarily involves playing the guitar and hoping the baby is happy.
MGK also mentioned a double standard in parenting, stating that he often receives compliments for simply holding the baby, while women face more scrutiny. He jokingly referred to himself as the "music teacher" instead of a parent.
Despite his role as a father, MGK emphasised that he wants to give all the credit to his partner, Megan Fox. Fox has three children from her previous marriage to "90210" star Brian Austin Green.
However, Fox did not appreciate MGK's compliment about his parenting skills. In the interview, MGK revealed that Fox didn't seem too pleased when he said he was a good dad.
MGK is currently a father to a teenage daughter from a previous relationship and his newborn daughter, Saga Blade Fox-Baker. He shared the naming process discussion on "The Today Show" in July.
