Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht, the son of renowned German actors Uwe and Natascha Ochsenknecht, is set to be extradited from Germany to Austria to face charges related to an unpaid hotel bill.
On July 7, the Higher Regional Court (OLG) in Hamburg decided that Ochsenknecht may be extradited to Austria. The extradition process was initiated on July 14, following his arrest at Hamburg airport in June.
Ochsenknecht, who has been a role model for over 24 years, admitted to doing things that were not exemplary. He expressed that he needed time to reflect on his mistakes and made a statement on Instagram.
Despite a claim that the outstanding amount had been paid by his former partner Yeliz Koc (31) in the meantime, the extradition to Austria was granted. The exact date and time of Ochsenknecht's arrival at the Innsbruck prison in Austria have not been disclosed publicly.
The actor is expected to arrive at the Innsbruck prison by the end of the week. His destination is the Innsbruck prison, where he will serve his time.
Prior to his arrest, Ochsenknecht was accused of not paying a hotel bill in Austria totaling around 14,000 euros. The handover of Ochsenknecht from Munich-Stadelheim prison to Hannover for transportation to Frankfurt am Main and Nuremberg has occurred, suggesting that the extradition process is progressing.
Ochsenknecht's extradition comes amidst reports that he was arrested in connection with the unpaid hotel bill in Tyrol. The phrase "set to be extradited" and the articles' publication date of July 7, 2025, suggest that the extradition process was either imminent or underway at that time, but no specific arrival date has been disclosed.
