Meeting in a Mosque with My Captor - Abducted Train Passenger in Abuja-Kaduna Attack Details Story
Remember the chilling incident on March 28, 2022, when an Abuja-Kaduna train was ruthlessly attacked in Katari? We here at our website certainly do. This heinous attack claimed many lives and left numerous passengers in the clutches of kidnappers.
The attack occurred just 15 minutes before the train was expected to arrive at its destination. Comrade M Muhammad, one of the unfortunate victims, now shares an extraordinary story of an encounter he had with one of his captors at a mosque in Kaduna State.
After being taken hostage, Muhammad's life was plunged into a nightmarish ordeal, and this encounter was a far cry from what he anticipated. This man, identified only as Abubakar, startled Muhammad with their unexpected meeting at the mosque.
Despite the harrowing experience, Muhammad managed to find peace and decided to forgive Abubakar. He expressed his sense of tranquility in the encounter, stating that he had forgiven Abubakar even before their encounter at the mosque.
During their conversation, Abubakar revealed that he had repented and was now riding an Okada (motorcycle taxi). He also mentioned that one of the notorious commanders, Baba Adamu, had been killed by soldiers, causing Muhammad to feel a sense of relief.
Muhammad's decision to forgive Abubakar despite his traumatic experience might come as a surprise to some. However, he stood firm on his beliefs, expressing that while he could not forgive the government due to its negligence leading to the attack, he had already forgiven the kidnappers.
He accused the government of inaction, asserting that they had been informed of the potential attack on the train but failed to take preventive measures. Moreover, he felt abandoned by the government after their release, as they had to bear the expenses for therapy sessions on their own.
