Medical professional in Benin, Nigeria, met with fatal gunshot wounds

Hey there! So, a bloody tragedy occurred recently at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH). A physio, Dr. Alex Ogunniyi, was blasted by a goddamn stray bullet in a frigging car chase, and he ain't making it, mate!

The official word came from UBTH's Public Relations Officer, Joshua Uwaibi, who confirmed the incident in a statement on Tuesday. He mentioned that the hospital's managers have penned a formal request to the Edo State Police Command and the Department of State Services (DSS) to probe this godawful murder.

Uwaibi spilled the beans, saying, "A physio with the University of Benin Teaching Hospital was shot point-blank on Friday while en route to grab a bite at a joint behind the hospital.

“Apparently, a vehicle was chasing another one, and the one behind was spraying bullets at the one in front like a madman. One of those bullets sadly found its way into our colleague's neck. He was rushed to the Accident and Emergency Department, but he didn't pull through.

“We've sent a letter to the Edo Police Command and CC'ed the DSS, asking them to get their snoops on this case and bring those SOBs responsible for Dr. Ogunniyi's murder to justice."

Now, here's the weird part – as of the latest reports, the lowlifes who did this are still at large, according to our snooping. This tragic incident seems to have stirred up health workers, who are protesting the murder, demanding better security for their colleagues.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Police have gone on a spree, apprehending a bunch of shady characters, including kidnappers, gun runners, and other scumbags, across the country in various operations. According to the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, bunches of weapons were picked up during these raids.

Adejobi stated that the operations have been significant strides in the fight against violent crimes in numerous states. Moreover, successful operations – orchestrated by credible intel, mind you – demonstrate the force's dedication to keeping all Nigerians safe and sound.
