In the next court hearing, "Dr. P", or Salvador Plasencia, a licensed physician, will reportedly confess his guilt in the distribution of the anesthetic drug Ketamin, which led to the untimely death of US actor Matthew Perry in 2023.

Plasencia's confession comes after the US Department of Justice unveiled that he would admit guilt in four cases involving Ketamin distribution. He faces a possible prison sentence of up to 40 years.

According to the prosecution, Plasencia sarcastically commented in a text message, "I wonder how much this idiot will pay." They allege that he provided Perry with excessive quantities of Ketamin and administered it through injections.

Alongside Plasencia, four other defendants including Dr. Mark Chavez, a former ketamine clinic owner from San Diego, have been charged in this case. Chavez pleaded guilty last October, while another defendant, Jasveen Sangha, who goes by the Hollywood alias "Ketamin Queen", denies the allegations.

The US prosecution points out that the defendants took advantage of Perry's addiction struggles to amass personal wealth. Perry was found dead in his Los Angeles home's whirlpool in October 2023 from an overdose of Ketamin, according to the coroner's report.

Succumbing to his addiction challenges, Perry gained fame in the 1990s for his role as Chandler Bing in the globally acclaimed sitcom "Friends". In his 2023 autobiography, he confessed his long-standing battles with medication and alcohol addictions.
