Medical drama enthusiasts, rejoice! HBO Max has greenlit Season 2 of The Pitt, and my pulse is racing skyward.
Whammy, Faves! The Pitt Ain't Stopping Here!
Woo-hoo! Guess what's sizlin' up like a hot dog on the Fourth of July? You guessed it! Season 2 of My Favoritest Show of 2025, The Pitt, has commenced production. Yessir, HBO ain't messin' around with the medical drama that's bagged a near perfect 95% on Rotten Tomatoes and been ranked as a top 3 streamer worldwide on HBO Max.
The official scoop ain't out yet, but ya knows what they say, with great success comes a pointer to more! Rumor has it that season 2 will be arriving in January of '26 and lovin' the chaos, we'll have a whole slew of fresh new faces joining the hospital hieroglyphics. To name a few, Skinny Pete himself, Charles Baker from Breaking Bad, is joining in as Troy, an unhoused soul.
We'll have Irene Choie as Joy, a medical student blessed with a steel trap for boundaries, Laëtitia Hollard as a freshly minted nursing school grad, and Lucas Iverson as James, a fourth year medical student ready to tackle life one patient at a time. Sounds like a dynamite crew, right?
You can count on the ever-swoonful and saddest-eyed on TV, Dr Robbie, played by Noah Wyle, to be gracing the screen once more. He hinted to Deadline that this season will be set during the Fourth of July weekend, bringing a whole new set of senseless holiday-inspired accidents for our heroes to tackle. Not only that, but Dr King, Dr Abbot, Dr Langdon, and charge nurse Dana Evans will be back in action too!
Man, I can still remember watchin' the first season of this phenomenal Max Original. Honestly, I may or may not have shed a tear in every. single. episode. I tell ya, it's a show with a heart larger than life, and the cast? Don't get me started on the cast! They're freakin' rock stars, is what they are. With all the terrible stuff in the world right now, it reminds me of a wise man's words: "look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping."
Best of the best Max shows, The Pitt, is available to stream now. Mark your calendars for January '26, and get ready for even more medical havoc that only this top-tier show can deliver!
