The first Christmas market, a craft fair, will take place on November 15-16 at the Ostseemühle Langenhanshagen workshop grounds, following the conclusion of the Martinimarkt.
Kicking off the seasonal events, the Parchim Martinimarkt will commence on Friday afternoon, offering a mix of traditional fairground attractions and culinary delights. The event will culminate in a spectacular fireworks display on Monday evening. Meanwhile, the Rostock Christmas market, the largest in northern Germany, will open its doors on November 24, featuring nearly 100 stalls and rides in the city center. It will remain open almost until Christmas, providing ample opportunity for seasonal shopping and entertainment.
In Rothen, a village in the Borkow municipality, an artists' market will take place on the second weekend of Advent. Here, visitors can find unique handcrafted Christmas gifts and artworks, perfect for those seeking special presents. The Binz Christmas market, 'Angels, Light & Sea,' will also draw crowds over the third Advent weekend (December 11-14) on the island of Rügen. This event promises a blend of Baltic culture and Swedish culinary delights, offering a unique festive experience by the sea.
With the Martinimarkt wrapping up and the first Christmas markets on the horizon, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is gearing up for a vibrant festive season.
