MV Sports Awards: Schwerin Volleyballers Honored - Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania honours its 2025 sports stars in grand gala

The Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania State Sports Federation has honoured its top athletes and coaches for 2025. A gala in Dobbin-Linstow, near Rostock, celebrated the year's standout performances across various sports.

Diver Ole Rösler took home the Male Athlete of the Year title. His achievements in the pool earned him the prestigious recognition at the ceremony.

Sprinter Johanna Martin was named Female Athlete of the Year. Her strong performances in the 400 metres set her apart from the competition.

The awards also highlighted para-athletes. Sprinter Lindy Ave and rower Marcus Klemp were both recognised for their outstanding seasons. Their dedication and results secured them the top para-athlete honours.

SSC Palmberg Schwerin's women's volleyball team claimed the Team of the Year award. Their collective success over the past season made them the clear choice for the prize.

Mario Turloff received the Coach of the Year award. His leadership of the state goalball team was key to his selection by the judges.

The gala in Dobbin-Linstow showcased the region's sporting talent. Winners included athletes, teams, and coaches who delivered remarkable performances in 2025. The event marked another year of achievement for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania's sports community.
