In an exciting turn of events for Marvel fans, the live-action reboot of the iconic vampire hunter, Blade, remains in the works according to Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios. However, the status of the project has become somewhat complicated due to changes in creatives and delays off Marvel's dated slate. Mahershala Ali remains attached to lead the reboot.

Meanwhile, the world of Marvel Zombies is gearing up for an intriguing twist. The much-anticipated animated series, set to premiere on September 24, 2025, will mark the first on-screen appearance of Blade in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Interestingly, Blade, voiced by Todd Williams, will not be the same character fans have come to know. In Marvel comics, the Fist of Khonshu is traditionally Moon Knight's mantle. However, in Marvel Zombies, the Daywalker character has been transformed into something new amid the undead apocalypse.

The creative team behind Marvel Zombies has made alterations due to the delays in the production of Blade. This change allows them to lock storyboards, action beats, and character rules without waiting for the live-action reboot. The Fist of Khonshu, traditionally charged with meting out vengeance on behalf of the Egyptian moon god, comes with moon-touched boosts, prophetic nudges, and consecrated gear.

The ad-supported plan for Disney+, where Marvel Zombies will be available, costs $9.99 a month, while the ad-free plan costs $15.99 a month. A yearly subscription costs $159.99, saving 16%. Subscription to Disney+ is required to check out Marvel Zombies when it premieres.

The delays in the production of Blade have also impacted the upcoming Marvel Zombies animated series. Rumours suggest discussions about alternate paths for the live-action Blade reboot, such as Midnight Sons.

As the landscape of Marvel's cinematic universe continues to evolve, fans can look forward to these exciting changes in the Blade reboot and the Marvel Zombies animated series. Stay tuned for more updates!
