McLaren Seeks £15.4M in Damages From Alex Palou in F1 Dispute

The damages claim includes a $400,000 signing bonus paid to Piastri, lost sponsorship revenue, and promoting Pato O'Ward to their F1 test program. Pereira expressed anger and upset when McLaren signed Piastri instead of him, feeling his chances of moving to McLaren's F1 team decreased. The dispute has also raised accusations of bias between drivers Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris this season. Notably, Piastri appeared to cut off McLaren chief Zak Brown mid-sentence on the team radio after the Singapore Grand Prix.
