In an exhilarating race at the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix, Lando Norris clinched his first victory of the season, while teammate Oscar Piastri maintained his lead in the drivers' championship.

Norris, who had a challenging final stint due to Piastri's closing gap, managed to hold off his teammate to secure the win. The triumph marked McLaren's 200th Formula 1 victory and their fourth consecutive 1-2 finish this year.

Behind the top two, George Russell finished third for Mercedes, Max Verstappen came in ninth for Red Bull, and Charles Leclerc ended the race in fourth for Ferrari. Notably, Leclerc was upset with Ferrari's strategy, which he believed resulted in his fourth-place finish.

Fernando Alonso, despite battling a bad back, managed to finish fifth for Aston Martin, with Lance Stroll finishing ahead of him. Gabriel Bortoleto, racing for Sauber, finished ahead of Alonso in the race, but Stroll secured the position over Bortoleto when racing for Aston Martin.

Liam Lawson finished ahead of Stroll for Racing Bulls, while Kimi Antonelli outperformed Max Verstappen in the race, finishing ahead of the Red Bull driver. Lewis Hamilton could only manage 12th in the second Ferrari.

Zak Brown, McLaren CEO, expressed his satisfaction with the team's performance and the drivers' efforts, praising Norris' victory as a well-deserved win. Piastri, too, was pleased with his performance, stating that he pushed as hard as he could during the race.

He acknowledged the close competition between him and Piastri, noting that the championship fight is tightly contested with 274 championship points still available in the remaining rounds.
