Reba McEntire Pays Tribute to Late Ex-Stepson Brandon Blackstock
Brandon Blackstock, the former husband of pop star Kelly Clarkson and business partner of Brittney Marie Jones, passed away at the age of 48 following a three-year battle with skin cancer.
Jones, who worked as a production assistant for Kelly Clarkson in Nashville from 2016 to 2018, became an executive management assistant for Brandon Blackstock in late 2018. The two were not only in a committed relationship but also business partners, involved in building companies that would be part of his legacy.
As of this writing, neither Jones nor Clarkson has publicly acknowledged the death of their respective partners. McEntire, who was married to Brandon Blackstock's father, Narvel Blackstock, from 1989 to 2015, has paid tribute to him on social media, sharing a carousel of photos depicting her and Brandon through the years on Instagram. She accompanied the photos with a sentimental message.
The news of Brandon's death has been a difficult time for the Blackstock family. Celebrities like John Legend, Wynonna Judd, and Kristin Chenoweth flooded McEntire's comment section with condolences.
Brandon lived a relatively quiet life in Montana before his death, where he was involved in ventures such as Headwaters Livestock Auction and The Valley View Rodeo with Jones. McEntire expressed support for both Brandon and Kelly during their divorce proceedings in 2021.
