Mazhilis Deputy Slams 'Kairat' - 'Real' Ticketing Process, Calls for Probe
Mazhilis deputy Bakytzhan Bazharkhan has expressed concerns over the ticketing process for the recent 'Kairat' - 'Real' match in Almaty. He highlighted issues such as high prices, chaotic crowd management, and potential misuse of public funds.
Bazharkhan noted that the high ticket prices prevented many residents from attending the game. He also criticized the lack of a unified management system, which led to chaotic crowd control at the stadium entrance. Families with young children were reportedly at risk of being crushed.
Bazharkhan proposed opening criminal cases if it's confirmed that tickets were bought using funds from national companies like 'Samruk-Kazyna'. He suggested involving the General Prosecutor's Office to investigate intermediaries and large organizations for potential misuse of funds. He also raised concerns about around 5000 tickets being pre-bought by employees and officials of these companies using public funds. Additionally, he proposed sending sports officials to Europe to learn how to organize such events more effectively.
Bazharkhan's concerns highlight the need for transparency and fair ticketing practices in major sporting events. If confirmed, the misuse of public funds for ticket purchases could lead to criminal investigations. His proposals aim to improve future event management and prevent similar issues.
