Mayor receives harrowing message from Adolf Hitler.

In a shocking turn of events, the Mayor of Zwickau, Constance Arndt, has received a threatening email from an account named "Adolf Hitler" at [email protected]. The email, which references the right-wing terrorist group "National Socialist Underground" (NSU) and the murdered CDU politician Walter Lübke, has left authorities and the public concerned.

The threat, which reads "Remember Walter Lübke. Always be careful.", is believed to exploit the trauma of the Lübcke case, where the Kassel government president Walter Lübke was murdered by right-wing extremist Stephan Ernst in 2019. The court found a "racist-ethnic murder motive" in the Lübcke case.

Mayor Arndt, who leads a city that had a 40.6% voter share for the AfD in the last federal election, has publicly displayed the threat on Instagram with the intention of using publicity as a form of protection. She has also filed a criminal complaint regarding the threat and expressed her disapproval of the sender contacting her in such a manner.

The police are currently investigating the threat against Constance Arndt, with local law enforcement and specialized agencies working to trace the origin of the email and apprehend those responsible. Authorities have increased security measures around the mayor and involved officials, emphasizing a zero-tolerance stance on hate crimes and threats.

Mayor Arndt believes that people with different political views should learn to deal with each other respectfully. She has stated that the debate about the threat should be in the public, encouraging open discussions and constructive criticism. However, she also believes that such threats have no place in civil discourse.

As of the latest updates, the suspect behind the threatening email has not been publicly identified. To stay informed about the most current details, monitoring trusted news sources or official police communications is recommended.
